Closure IP66
- Sash lock closure made from stainless steel
- These sash locks have a 3mm double bit.
Wall mounting
- The enclosure can be mounted using the locking nuts found in its interior. Alternatively, the external wall brackets, which are secured against rotation, can be used.
Labelling
- A self-adhesive identification plate made from corrosion and heat-proof material is attached to the enclosure for identification purposes.
- The identification plate carries the information required by EN 60079-0:2012.
Accessories are available for the individual structures

Enclosures can be pre-fabricated and assembled to your specifications:
To attach components, a mounting plate can be screwed into the interior of the enclosure via welded-in threaded bolts.
Please note: If, in addition to the series feed-through terminals introduced by Steeldesign, the enclosure has various attachments and fixtures added to undergo further development as a piece of electrical equipment (e.g. control equipment), the entire equipment must be reaccredited.

The enclosures can also be supplied with hole patterns and cut-outs based on customer requirements. They must, however, be sealed in accordance with the IP protection class, and the ignition protection class.

Door seal:
- Silicone foam profile 6 x 20 mm red/brown self-adhesive on one side for the enclosure doors
- Temperature range: (- 40°C to + 120°C)
Flange seals:
- EPDM heat sealing frame 3 mm thick, self-adhesive on one side, heat resistant: (- 40°C to + 120°C)
- Silicone foam profile 3x20 self-adhesive on one side, heat resistant: (- 50°C to + 120°C)*
- Window seal:
- Double-sided adhesive tape 3M VHB (permanent temperature range 120°C)
- Silicone bead Elastosil A07 translucent temperature range (-45°C to 125°C)

General information
The standard empty enclosures and connecting flanges from the EX – Line series are made of stainless steel pursuant to EN 10088. The enclosure and the doors are produced as a rectangular welded construction made from stainless steel sheet 1.4301 which is at least 1.25 mm thick or higher, depending on the size and design.
In addition to using closures, the doors can also be screwed in place using multi-purpose nuts which are welded on outside the seal area.
Drill holes and recesses can be introduced in the door, in the rear wall, in the base and in the side walls. These are used to accommodate cable and lead feed-ins only in the mandatory protection classes. The flange plates are produced from stainless steel plate which is at least 2.0 mm thick. These are then screwed to the enclosure using EPDM – moulded seals.
